the kingdom of Rome? Is this what9s going to upset our
government?= Likewise, when you share the gospel with
others, you may get the same scornful reaction. But do not let
that stop you. Instead, tell them your testimony. They cannot
sneer at the way the Lord has transformed your life.
Heavenly Father, the people in Jesus9 day did not understand
His kingdom, and today they still don9t understand. They
scornfully mock a meek and mild Jesus who teaches
forgiveness rather than revenge, selflessness rather than
selfishness, and humility rather than self-promotion. As His
followers, we also will be understood when we practice His
ways. Give us the grace and courage to live for You in the
face of scorn and ridicule. When they realize their approach
does not work, they will come to us for answers. In Jesus9
name, Amen.
