rench novelist Anatole France tells a legend about a
monk who was not as gifted and talented as all the
other monks. He could not draw or do arts and crafts.
He could not transcribe. At that very moment, all he had to
give to God was his ability to juggle. Feeling inferior and out
of place when all the monks went to lunch, prayer time, or
choir rehearsal, this monk went inside the chapel and juggled
with his feet in front of the statue of Mary4just using the gift
he had. When the other monks found out, they admonished
